Emma Storey:

Thank you to Emma Storey, the 2023-2024 Georgia FFA State North Region Vice President, for joining the Ag Beat Blog! Her insightful thoughts on the agricultural community and her passion for FFA are encouraging. Emma aspires to give back by educating students, communities, and individuals about the livestock industry, all aspects, and the broader scope of agriculture. She also intends to ensure that the agriculture industry continues to thrive by developing passionate leaders like FFA members and younger agriculturalists into advocates for agriculture.

Currently a freshman at ABAC, Emma is majoring in general studies and has plans to transfer to UGA to dual major in Agriculture Communications and Agriculture Education. Her ultimate goal is to work with students in ag classes and the community in agriculture wherever she will be. Emma's love for agriculture stems from her upbringing in her family's beef cattle operation. Over the years, she has learned that FFA stands for "Future Farmers of America," but it is more than just farming. It is a leadership organization that helps students grow and learn leadership skills through agriculture.

Emma's advice to younger generations is to "Remember your passions and have strong conviction in whatever you are passionate about, and then you can do anything you set your mind to. Even if you are not in agriculture or just dipping your toes in the water, agriculture is essential for our survival, and it is like a family and community."

Here's the interview with Miss Emma Storey. I highly recommend listening to her thoughts on the agriculture industry!
